Jessica Pratt

I have been obsessively listening to this album lately. When it first came out years ago, for whatever reason it didn’t grab me. I reduced her to merely sounding like Vashti Bunyan, Joanna Newsom and even a twinge of Stevie Nicks. Not that sounding like any of those people is a bad thing! I just didn’t really listen to her lyrics and voice, but I am so glad her work found it’s way back to me. She is extremely talented and unique and this album plays almost like a lullaby. Perhaps this current political climate has me especially needing that soothing right now. If you haven’t already definitely give this a listen. Enjoy!

  1. I love this record all the way through. The lyrics are all there. That really makes it for me. Good post!
